Winter Hours for Washoe County Rifle Range

The days are getting shorter and Washoe County’s Regional Shooting Facility will begin operating under shorter winter hours on Monday, November 7, 2011.

Public range hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday through Monday.

There will be a half hour break from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. during days of operation. During that half hour break, the firing line will be cleared for safety purposes.

Winter hours for Washoe County’s Regional Shooting Range (effective November 7, 2011)

Friday through Monday: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (closed 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.)

The County’s Regional Shooting Facility is located north of Spanish Springs at 21555 Pyramid Highway. In addition to the supervised Public Range the facility has five additional specialty ranges which may be reserved by the public, law enforcement and regional military units. The Regional Shooting Facility is managed by Washoe County’s Department of Regional Parks and Open Space.
